Scholarships & Bursaries
ARMA Vancouver Bursary
ARMA Vancouver provides four Bursary awards each valued up to $500 CAD every year. Two are designated to ARMA members and two are designated for members or employees of First Nations (whether or not they are an ARMA member).
ARMA Vancouver bursaries are intended to provide financial support towards records management education costs such as tuition, certification exams (ICRM & IGP), books, travel expenses, and other education-related costs.
Applications are evaluated by the Board based on the records and information management professional development benefit of the opportunity as described in the application.
If the number of applicants exceed the number of bursaries available, the Chapter Board may choose to split the award to fund multiple applications, when appropriate.
Recipients receive their awarded funds through the Chapter's expense process. This means the recipient pays for the expenses up front and submits an expense report with copies of receipts to the Chapter Board for reimbursement up to the value of the awarded amount.
Successful applicant(s) are encouraged, but not mandated, to provide a brief report or blog submission on their educational/professional development opportunity. Blog submissions may be eligible for further monetary compensation.
